Education for Ministry (EfM)

Education for Ministry is a four-year certificate program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice. Participants meet regularly in small seminar groups to read and discuss the materials, ask questions, and develop their understanding of what it means to be a Christian in the modern world.
The program helps participants deepen their faith, learn about Scripture, Church history, theology, and ethics, and develop skills for ministry in daily life and work.
Meeting Information:
Meets weekly during the academic year. New participants welcome each fall.
Labyrinth Ministry
St. Philip’s is blessed with a beautiful outdoor labyrinth that is available for walking meditation and prayer. The labyrinth is an ancient spiritual tool for meditation, prayer, and discernment.
Unlike a maze, which is designed to confuse, a labyrinth has one path that leads to the center and back out. Walking the labyrinth can be a powerful spiritual practice, offering time for reflection, prayer, and connection with God.
The labyrinth is open daily from dawn to dusk. All are welcome to walk in silence and contemplation.

Daughters of the King (DOK)

The Order of the Daughters of the King is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of prayer, service, and evangelism. Daughters pledge to pray daily for the mission of the church and for others, and to serve Christ through active ministry in their parishes and communities.
Our chapter meets regularly for fellowship, study, and prayer. We support one another in our spiritual journeys and seek to spread Christ’s kingdom through prayer and loving service.
For More Information: Contact the church office or speak with any Daughter of the King member.
