Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares the altar and sanctuary for worship services, caring for the sacred vessels, linens, and appointments used in worship. Members work behind the scenes to ensure everything is ready for the celebration of the Eucharist and other services.
This quiet ministry of service requires attention to detail, reverence for sacred things, and a commitment to regular service. Training is provided for new members.

Meals on Wheels
St. Philip’s volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors in our community through the Meals on Wheels program. This vital outreach provides not only nourishment but also a friendly visit and safety check for isolated elderly neighbors.
Volunteers typically deliver meals one day per week, with routes taking about 1-2 hours. It’s a wonderful way to serve the community and brighten someone’s day.
Volunteers are always needed! Contact the church office to learn how you can help deliver meals.

Towel Ministry

The Towel Ministry provides clean, gently-used towels to local shelters and service organizations that work with individuals and families in need. This simple act of service provides dignity and comfort to our neighbors experiencing hardship.
Parishioners donate towels, washcloths, and similar items, which are collected and distributed regularly to partner organizations.
How to Help: Donate new or gently-used towels in the collection bin in the parish hall.
Refuge Solidarity Community Garden
The Refuge Solidarity Community Garden grows fresh vegetables and herbs that are donated to local food pantries and community members in need. This ministry combines stewardship of creation with feeding the hungry.
Volunteers help with planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting throughout the growing season. No gardening experience necessary—just a willingness to get your hands dirty and grow food for our neighbors!
Growing Season:
April through October. Work sessions typically on Saturday mornings.

Veterans Support

St. Philip’s honors and supports veterans through various initiatives including recognition services, care packages, and partnerships with veterans’ organizations. We are committed to serving those who have served our country.
We welcome veterans and their families to our church community and seek to provide spiritual support, fellowship, and practical assistance when needed.
If you are a veteran or have ideas for supporting veterans in our community, please contact the church office.
